This is an attempt to bring about visual order in an overly saturated image culture.
Through methods of categorisation, manipulation, and reflection, online dating identity trends are exposed, interrogated and brought into holistic view through a digital image archive.
This is not an examination into individual identity but, rather collective entity. By taking images from their original host and categorising them based on their visual similarities, one stream of consciousness is unveiled, where each image bears resemblance to its neighbours.
This archive was created to actively respond and catalogue changing cultural, societal trends and their effect on digital identities in online dating.
feelings copies is a growing, evolving body of work. Categories can be (will be) expanded upon, added, critiqued, as trends evolve and migrate.
